RAFARS HF Net Survey

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the recent HF Net survey. With almost 100 responses received so far, a clear picture is emerging.

The results suggest that overall participation — rather than dissatisfaction with current timings — is the main challenge. The 11:00am morning net remains strongly supported, while there is modest interest in trialling a slightly later evening net.

Many members commented that factors such as propagation conditions, antenna restrictions, local noise levels, or work commitments limit their ability to join HF nets. Encouragingly, the tone of responses has been constructive and supportive of the friendly, informal nature of the nets.

The survey also highlighted that awareness of the Friday Zoom meeting has been lower than expected, and this offers an opportunity to improve communication and broaden engagement for members who are unable to operate HF.

The survey remains open, and further updates will be shared once more responses are received.
