No guesses to why, just following the current advice. However, it is important that the Club members keep in touch especially as some are not as young as they used to be. The Club will be keeping in touch via GB3TU which is a local repeater which is in range of a lot of the Club member’s.
To keep member’s busy whilst some are confined to barracks, the Club Callsign G1RAF will be used from other locations with the holders permission. Dave G0KUC is coordinating time slots to avoid any confliction of use of the Call.
The member’s will pick a time slot and operate as often as they can during the period assigned.
Data of various types together with SSB will be in use. At the moment HF is on the agenda but if there is enough support the VHF frequencies may be used.
