NEW MARKETING MANAGER. MEMBERS TAKE NOTE.
Kev Staley G0PWR has volunteered and been appointed to the post of
Marketing Manager. Handover of duties, files and equipment from M0MJG
will take place at the Council meeting on 24 June.
GB4HFH HELP FOR HEROES AND GB5AFD ARMED FORCES DAY.
Both the above calls will be activated 1 Jun to 8 Jun from the Training
Wing, 21 Signals Regiment (air support) Colerne, Wilts. SN14 8QY.
GB5AFD will also be activated from 21 TO 30 Jun from BARS Sully, Vale of
Glamorgan CF64 5SP
Both the SESs will be activated again from 1 Jul to 28 Jul from Dinas

RAFARS MEMBERS REQUIRED TO ASSIST AIR TRAINING CORPS.
Urgently required, Keen and competent field day operators to supervise and
assist ATC Cadets in a Field Day weekend operating a Special Event Callsign
from the Village of Ingleton Yorkshire on the 3rd/4th July 2010.
Free camp site (bring your own tent), handy pub, lots of B+B accommodation
in the Village and a variety of events and things to amuse.
Opportunity to climb 2700 ft with a green radio on your back.

I was again on my own and worked 22 Mills on the Air Weekend.
A new Coax Feed that was surplus to requirements at G8FC has now been
installed at GB2RAF . A thanks to Keith M0DZB for transportation of the
coax from DCAE Cosford to RAF Neatishead.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
Equipment used Kenwood TS570D 100w output to an inverted V trap dipole.

29 Jul Endeavour STS133 to ISS with ELC4 MLPM spares.
16 Sep Discovery STS134 to ISS with Alpha Magnetic spectrometer.
DISCOVERY STS134 THIS WILL BE THE LAST SHUTTLE TO VISIT THE ISS.
The ISS will then be fully operational for a relay/staging space station
to other Space Satellites, Planets and beyond by flight modules.
All Shuttle Flights are subject to delays.
