20/21 MARCH 2010 GB0VUL VULCAN BOMBER.SES BY THE AIR TRAINING CORPS.

A Special Event Station has been organised by the Thames Valley Air Training
Corps and Newbury and District Amateur Radio Society using the SES call-sign
GB0VUL. This will be operational on the Amateur Bands on the 20/21 March
2010 over the 48 hour period from Newbury ATC Sqn. Bands/Modes various.

The Air Cadets together with the Newbury ARS will be operating under a LOV
Licence. QSL Cards will be available with a picture of a Vulcan Aircraft.

The SES has been put on to make awareness of keeping the only Vulcan XH558
in the air. Donations for this year have covered the cost for the Vulcan
to fly at major air shows which is good news but let's hope that donations
will be able to keep XH558 flying next year and beyond.
