In the Restricted Section, RAFARS came 7th out of 25 entries.
Well done G8FC/P With a big thanks to the Crack team who took part.
Operators Tony i/c G0WFV, Vince G4DQP, Art G3KWY, Barry G4DBS and set up
and dismantle helpers Peter G0NVY, Don M0CES, Tom G4OSB. Darren G7WAP and
Mike M6CMG RAF Waddington ARC. I believe that our new antenna was quite
successful. As you may be aware Roger G3ZDW our Contest Manager was sick at
this time and well done Tony for taking over at the last minute.

Jim G6PAA 1713 will be QRV with VK4/G6PAA from 6 to 14 Dec and VK6/G6PAA
from 16 Dec to 13 Jan 2009. Then ZL/G6PAA from 16 Jan to 1st March 2010 on
RTTY/CW/PSK/Phone on 10 to 80m with 100w to a dipole on RAFARS frequencies.
So all you HF DX Members why not give it a try and see if we can have a QSO
with Jim. Would HF Net RAFARS Controllers/Members please pass on this
information to overseas net members.
COUNCIL MEETINGS 2010.
The dates for 2010 Council meetings will be agreed at the last meeting of
2009 that takes place on Dec 17.
Any member may attend Council meetings but travel costs can not be paid.
Members wishing to attend (and applying by snail mail) must contact Mike
G7JPN our Gen. Sec., one month before the due date. Two weeks for e-mailers.
MARKETING MANAGER FOR COUNCIL POST.
A volunteer is required to join Council as its Marketing Manager.

the call-sign GB2BP at Bletchley Park who helped me operate for the day.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
Equipment used Kenwood TS570D 100w output to an inverted V trap dipole.
